A great thief, the masters say, lives in splendor. Their names, themselves stolen - their skills, inhuman and inexorable - the world raises them up to become the beating heart of legends.
In this game, we gather to tell a story of the true greats and those who would think to match them.
Heart Up Your Sleeve uses a modified game of the casino classic blackjack to frame the retelling of an epic heist. Legendary thieves and their captors are pitted against one another in a game of lying, cheating, romance, and miscellaneous debauchery, each aiming to unveil the secrets of the other while guarding their own repute in turn.
This game was co-written and playtested with the help of my partner Windienine. Our writing inspirations were the anime Lupin III at its best, the inherent romance of letting your secrets slip free, being gay, and doing crimes.

I played this with my partner and had a wonderful time, it allows space for jokes, and also intimate moments. It is SUCH a great framework for having a fun roleplay session! I would totally recommend it, especially if you like Lupin!
Oh and I forgot to mention that the formatting and visual design for it is really charming, too! It's easy to forget how hard it is to make a pdf look pretty, and they definitely did a wonderful job!
Karma and Windie have created a delightful and well-constructed ode to a certain group of silly master thieves. This is obviously a labor of love, and it shows. Certainly worth buying, playing, and bonding over.
